Yavatmal embraces 'farm pool' scheme with enthusiasm

Maharashtra's drought-prone Yavatmal has set an example for other districts by constructing more than 6,000 'farm pools' by cultivators to meet the irrigation demand in the district. An official claimed that by digging these pools, around 6,000 hectares of land will get "protected irrigation", thus raising hopes for a better rabi crop.
