Netizens recalled the design of the previous trophy and one social media user even jokingly commenting that it had now 'switched gender'

Tennis fans witnessed drastic changes in the Madrid Open trophy after the Masters 1000 tournament concluded with Ons Jabeur and Carlos Alcaraz reigning supreme at the clay-court event. The 2022 Madrid trophy reminded fans of a vagina and netizens further also noted that the previous trophy resembled a penis, with one user joking that it had 'switched gender'.
"They went from danger dildo straight to vulva. no one does it like madrid, truly," one user on Twitter wrote after the trophy was unveiled while other added: "What in the cunnilingus is this trophy?" One tennis fan was so upset with a new design that they wrote: "Nooooo I want the spiky d**** back."
