London: A pint of beer was recently sent into the space, attached to a helium weather ballon, by a couple in England, it has been reported.

Ros Bangs sent the glass of ‘London Pride’ into the stratosphere to an incredible 80,000ft and peaked at 24km above her White Swan pub in Whitchurch, Bucks, which she runs with husband, the Daily Star reported. During its hour-long climb the beer, in a plastic glass with cling film on the top, simultaneously boiled and froze.
