And 2012 comes to a close — with the door slightly ajar. So many events in the present continuous. So much that will spill into the years to come. A young 23 year-old dies in Singapore. Will we change our laws? Will we hang our rapists? Will we chemically castrate them? Will we respect our women? Will they ever be safe?
