Blogging has now become a status symbol of sort for Bollywood actors and it's an excellent way to keep in touch with fans. Blogging helps in increasing popularity of film stars.

The blogging trend was started by none other that the superstar of the Indian film industry, Amitabh Bachchan. Aamir Khan and Shilpa Shetty followed suit. And the latest to hop on to the blogging bandwagon is Vidya.

The actor has been in the limelight over the past few days and has been getting wonderful media coverage.

But, I only wish that she's not over-publicised like some of the other actors today such as Priyanka Chopra, who seems to be publicity hungry.

I was glad to read that actor Vidya Balan has started blogging as well. She is a brilliant actress, but is under rated. Vidya has always maintained a low profile.

Now that Vidya has started blogging her fans can write to her. For many of Vidyas fans it's a dream come true.
Blogging is the best way of opening communication channels between the stars and the common man. All actors should start blogging.
