The rains are here in earnest, with the promise of much more to come. The city has got relief from a bummer of a summer, where heatstroke assailed so many and the air seemed to literally hiss and crackle from the fierce temperatures. There have been a number of rain related incidents in the past two days itself. The huge tragedy on Tuesday, when a tree fell on a bus and an 11 year-old’s life is a case in point.

We have reports of balcony crashes, a pothole death where a man on a scooter and his mother riding pillion suffered a pothole accident in which unfortunately, the woman perished.
