Pakistan is bristling at English Prime Minister David Cameron's remarks that it is an exporter of terror. Cameron made these remarks on a recent visit to India. Reports filter in that Cameron's effigies are being burnt in Pakistan and there is tension between Islamabad and London over the remarks.u00a0

Protests about Cameron's words have, as expected, been followed by the now (we are weary of them) familiar Pak statement that the country too is a victim of terrorism. One fails to understand the perennial Pakistan whine about Pakistan not being an exporter of terrorism but being a victim of it. Pakistan politicians mouth their favourite words after every bomb blast or when put on the spot about Pakistan terrorism. The refrain goes: Even Pakistan is suffering a lot because of terrorism.

What is India really supposed to do about that? Is that an excuse for Pakistan terrorists to come into India and do a 26/11? Pakistan says that because they suffer, the world, India included, cannot link terror and Pak. If they want sympathy, there is not too much of it here in India as the wounds of 26/11 are still too raw.
