Cricket Australia put all doubts related to captaincy issue to rest by announcing Ricky Ponting as the captain for all forms till 2011 World CupRicky Ponting will lead the Australian team in all three forms of the game until the World Cup 2011 despite the team's upcoming daunting workload and the impressive showing of Michael Clarke as captain against Pakistan in the UAE.
"Leadership issues are things that we always think about but we are really confident that Ricky will be more than capable of getting through to the 2011 Word Cup, and I know that is something he would like to do, so I don't see that as being an issue," chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch said yesterday.
