The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) did well to include former greats Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman in an advisory committee to take Indian cricket forward.
However, it’s not a perfect selection with Anil Kumble not being part of the panel. The reason for leaving Kumble out could be because he heads the BCCI technical committee. That argument is not justified because this critical committee should have been well-rounded if it is going to suggest to the BCCI what needs to be done to make Indian cricket stronger in every sense. In short, with due respects to the achievements of Tendulkar, Ganguly and Laxman, this committee is imbalanced!
