Exam season in the city is over and now, of course, it is results time for so many youngsters. There was predictably and perhaps somewhat depressingly, a slew of controversies dogging this exam season with some faulty question papers and confusion over exam dates, all of which stressed out pupils had to contend with.

However, that is all in the past now, and it is now time to focus on the results. Post exams and during results time, one hears reports of a spike in student suicides, as depressed students decide to end their life. The reasons for this dark news are varied; sometimes it is peer pressure and at other times, the results don’t live up to expectations in the pressure cooker-atmosphere that is the academic world today.
