I love the rains in Mumbai! I feel like God cleanses our city and provides our souls the nourishment it needs after the grueling heat and humidity! I can't help remembering the rains as a child in the city going to school, playing in the puddles, going for walks, getting drenched in the rain and thinking how differently children experience it today. One heavy rain in the city and schools are closed for days because of heavy flooding. Traffic is stalled for hours.

Diseases are spreading and parents also do not allow their children to get wet in the rains because of the fear of acid rains. So, lets build more buildings and level the parks so our children spend their lives sitting in air conditioned cars and stunting their growth!
