Continuing the White House tradition for the Thanksgiving holiday, US President yesterday &lsquo;pardoned&rsquo; the National Thanksgiving Turkey at the White House in Washington DC.

The President, who was accompanied by his daughters Sasha and Malia, cracked a few jokes, as he embraced the slightly silly tradition of pardoning turkeys. He said, &ldquo;I know some folks think this tradition is a little silly.

I do not disagree.&rdquo; He also thanked his daughters for being good sports about standing at his side for the turkey pardon for a seventh year.
&ldquo;Time flies, even if turkeys don&rsquo;t,&rdquo; he quipped to a crowd of laughter, as his daughters giggled heartily at a few &lsquo;dad jokes&rsquo; in front of reporters and officials. Pics/AFP
