An active incident was reported at Thomas S Wootton High School in Rockville, <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/world-news/article/us-india-aim-to-finalise-interim-agreement-ahead-of-bta-white-house-23615970" rel="nofollow">Maryland</a>, on Monday afternoon, with &nbsp;a 16-year-old student being taken into custody.
Officers responded to the school at 2.15 pm, where they found a 16-year-old male student suffering from a single gunshot wound in a hallway.
He was moved to a hospital and is in stable condition. Investigators determined that there was no threat to public safety.
