Java: Torrential downpours triggered a landslide on Indonesia’s main island of Java, killing at least 19 people and leaving around 100 others missing (the toll at the time of going to press), with persistent rain hampering rescue efforts, officials said on Saturday.

A rescue team yesterday removed bodies of the victims at Jemblung village in Banjarnegara, Central Java province. Pic/AFP
