4 dead, 52 arrested after Trump supporters storm US Capitol building amid demonstrations

The riot started when Congress that was holding a joint session to ratify the electoral the college votes electing Democrats Joe Biden as President and Kamala Harris as Vice President.

At least four people died and 52 people were arrested, on Wednesday, after supporters of sitting President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol in an unprecedented effort to stop Congress from certifying President-elect Joe Biden’s election victory, Metropolitan Police Department Chief Robert J. Contee said.

A woman was killed in gunfire by the police inside Capitol building amid protests and rioting.
