Kathmandu: At least four Indians were among 17 people killed when a jam-packed bus carrying Hindu pilgrims veered off a mountain road and rolled about 100 meters before plunging into a river in western Nepal, officials said today.

The ill-fated bus carrying about 60 pilgrims, mostly Indians, was returning to Krishnanagar of Kapilvastu from Swargadwari temple when it veered off the road and plunged into Madi Khola river in Pyuthan last evening.
