Abuja: At least 49 people were killed and many injured when two powerful explosions rocked a market in the Nigerian city of Gombe, a media report said on Friday.
The explosions occurred on Thursday evening when the market was crowded with people engaged in last-minute shopping on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
