London: A loud explosion has reportedly been heard at a major metro station in Istanbul, causing panic among the people.

Six people have been injured in the blast that was reported at Bayrampasa metro station, which has suspended all trains.
&ldquo;Metro services have been halted after a sound similar to an explosion was heard, its cause remains unknown,&rdquo; the Istanbul municipality said in a statement.
High alert has been issued across Turkey following the attacks on October 10 when two suicide bombers ripped through a crowd of peace activists in the capital Ankara, killing 103 people.
