British painter David Hockney has died aged 88. Born in Bradford in 1937, he made his name as a pop artist during the 60s. Works such as ‘A Bigger Splash’ and ‘Portrait of an Artist (Pool With Two Figures)’ — which was auctioned for $90.3 million — depicted hedonistic scenes of love, lust, and loss taking place in Los Angeles.
