DeLorean Motor Company is entering the skies by joining the Airspeeder International Series as the first American constructor in electric flying car racing.

Debuting in November 2026, the team will initially race standardised Mk3C electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft styled with DeLorean branding. For the 2027-28 season, the automaker plans to collaborate with university engineering students, including those from UC Berkeley and Georgia Tech, to develop race aircraft.
