US President Donald Trump sparked laughter and renewed political debate after joking about the possibility of remaining in office for “another eight or nine years,” despite constitutional limits restricting US presidents to two terms. The remark was made during a business-focused event at the White House, where Trump addressed entrepreneurs and industry leaders, reported ANI.

Speaking at the White House Small Business Summit, Trump made a light-hearted comment suggesting he could continue as president beyond the usual tenure. Referring to tax-cut legislation aimed at benefiting businesses, he said that when he leaves office “in eight or nine years,” he might personally benefit from those policies.
