Dubai is securing another landmark that comes with the tallest tag, and this time it is not a tower. At 118 feet (approximately 36 metres), the local Hard Rock Cafe is building the world's tallest guitar to mark its re-opening at a new location.

The original Hard Rock Cafe closed in March 2009 and will be relocated in the Dubai Festival City in October. "In keeping with the tradition of Hard Rock Cafe, the new restaurant will incorporate an iconic electric guitar. This will be the tallest guitar anywhere in the world," said Phillip Evans, Director of Commercial and Retail Leasing for DFC owners Al Futtaim Group Real Estate.
