The Embassy of India in Portugal has briefed that it ‘responded firmly with Operation Sindoor’ to the protest organised by Pakistani nationals near the Indian Chancery building and described the protest as ‘desperate provocations.’
The Indian Embassy on Sunday expressed gratitude to the Portuguese government and police for their support in maintaining the embassy's safety and security. As reported by ANI, photos shared by the embassy showed posters displayed on the Indian Chancery building bearing the message, ‘Operation Sindoor is not over.’
According to the post shared on X by the Indian Embassy in Portugal states, “Embassy of India @IndiainPortugal responded firmly with 'Operation Sindoor' to the cowardly protest organized by Pakistan near our Chancery building. We thank the Government of Portugal and its police authorities for their support in ensuring the safety and security of the Embassy. India will not be intimidated by such desperate provocations. Our resolve remains unshaken."

He posted on X, “Protests organised by Pakistan outside the Embassy were met with a silent yet strong and resolute message from our side "Operation Sindoor is not yet over.”
On May 16, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that 'Operation Sindoor' is not yet complete, emphasizing that what has occurred so far was merely a ‘trailer.’ While addressing the Air Force at Bhuj Air Force station, he said, “ We have kept Pakistan on probation. If its behaviour improves, then okay, otherwise, it will be given the strictest punishment. Operation Sindoor is not over yet. Whatever happened was just a trailer. When the right time comes, we will show the full picture to the world."
On May 7, the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). The operation resulted in the deaths of over 100 terrorists associated with groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM).
The operation was a response to the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 26 people and injured several others.
In retaliation, Pakistan carried out cross-border shelling across the Line of Control (LoC) and in Jammu and Kashmir, along with attempted drone strikes in border regions. India responded with a coordinated counter-attack, targeting and damaging radar systems, communication centres, and airfields at multiple Pakistani air bases.
By May 10, both countries reached an understanding to cease hostilities, bringing a temporary halt to the escalating conflict.
