Iran confirms receiving US response to Tehran proposal aimed at ending seven-month war

The response follows negotiations and discussions with Qatari and Pakistani mediators conducted alongside the UN General Assembly in New York

Iranian officials have confirmed receiving an official US response to Tehran’s proposal aimed at ending the seven-month war, following its initial public rejection by US President Donald Trump.

Spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani stated that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi presented the document to President Masoud Pezeshkian during a cabinet meeting, but details of its contents — and whether it constitutes a formal rejection — remain undisclosed.
