Japanese Prime Minister (PM) Sanae Takaichi has informed US President Donald Trump that she has nominated him for the Nobel Peace Prize, Kyodo News reported, citing the White House. The announcement came during Trump's ongoing diplomatic visit to Asia, which included a meeting with Takaichi at Akasaka Palace in Tokyo.

Takaichi, who recently took office, praised Trump for his diplomatic contributions, particularly his role in securing peace agreements, reported news agency ANI.
