Amman: Jordanian government Tuesday confirmed the killing of the pilot held captive by the Islamic State(IS), Xinhua reported citing the state-run Petra new agency. Jordan Armed Forces said Tuesday it will take revenge for the killing of the pilot.

The army said in a statement that it tried to secure his release but the criminal gang of IS insisted to kill him. Relatives of Jordanian pilot also condemned his killing, and called for revenge.
