Libya plane crash: 105 dead, child survives

A Libyan commercial aircraft carrying 105 people, including 94 passengers and 11 crew members, crashed Wednesday at Tripoli airport, Al-Jazeera television reported

A nine-year-old Dutch girl survived Wednesday's crash of an Afriqiyah Airways plane that killed 105 people, a Tripoli airport spokesman said.

Theu00a0Libyan commercial aircraft carrying 105 people, including 94 passengers and 11 crew members, crashed Wednesday at Tripoli airport, Al-Jazeera television reported.

The plane crashed on the runway while making its landing approach. All passengers and crew are believed to be dead.

A Tripoli airport spokesman said the plane was arriving on a flight from South Africa.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
