Former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf has said he is planning to return to Pakistan and join politics.

"I certainly am planning to go back to Pakistan and also join politics. The question already of whether I am running for president or prime minister will be seen later," Xinhua quoted Musharraf as telling CNN in an interview Thursday.
