George Obama,u00a0a half brother of US President Barack Obama, said yesterday that he was released from a Kenyan jail hours after his arrest on suspicion of marijuana possession. He was also charged withu00a0resisting arrest.

George, who spoke to CNN from his cell phone, said he was arrested on Saturday and released later that day. He claimed all charges against him were dropped.

But the Kenyan police, who said he was held at the Huruma police post in Nairobi and scheduled to appear in court today, refused to comment on any of his claims.
