A retired bank manager attacked his neighbour with a hammer and knife over the death of his dog.

Alexander Boyd, 76, told police he wished he had murdered Peter and Helen Gallosi last August. Boyd, of North Kessock, on the Black Isle, also said he had planned to kill another neighbour before returning home to kill his wife and 'possibly' himself.
