Russia battered Ukraine’s energy facilities with more than 300 drones and 37 missiles overnight in its latest heavy bombardment of the country’s power grid, authorities said Thursday, as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy prepared to ask US President Donald Trump at a White House meeting for more American-made air defences and long-range missiles. Eight Ukrainian regions experienced blackouts after the barrage.
Now looking to get Russia done: Trump
President Donald Trump has said he’s now turning his attention to bringing Russia’s war on Ukraine to an end as he looks to prod Moscow to the negotiating table. Ending wars in Ukraine and Gaza was central to Trump’s reelection pitch.
