US President Donald Trump on Wednesday (local time) said he would immediately seek a rehearing before the US Supreme Court on its birthright citizenship ruling, calling the decision a "miscarriage of justice". In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed that signs were being displayed along the US southern border and in Mexico advertising birthright citizenship.
"Signs and Billboards are being put up all over our Southern Border, and Mexico, advertising BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP, with 'Deliveries starting at $4000,'" Trump wrote. He alleged that the practice would allow people to obtain US citizenship by paying for childbirth in the country.
