US and Iran offer conflicting accounts on planned Doha talks

Iranian and American officials have both said they will have delegations in Doha, the Qatari capital, this week

The US and Iran have offered conflicting narratives about whether the delegations they planned to have in Qatar on Tuesday will hold direct talks, days after an exchange of hostilities threatened the cease-fire deal.

Iranian and American officials have both said they will have delegations in Doha, the Qatari capital, this week. But it was not clear who would meet with whom, or how the discussions would unfold.
