US authorities arrest man accused of exporting advanced computer servers worth USD 300 million to China

US authorities arrested California man Greg Lui, accused of illegally exporting more than USD 300 million worth of US-made computer servers containing advanced GPUs to China through third countries. He allegedly used false paperwork and bypassed required export licenses between 2023 and 2024

US authorities have arrested a man accused of smuggling more than $300 million worth of computer servers to China, the Department of Justice announced.

Greg Lui, 38, of California, also known as "Yiu Kong Lui," allegedly used false paperwork and shipments through third countries to smuggle the export-controlled computer servers to China, the department said in a statement Thursday.
