West Asia war: Cargo vessel attacked near Strait of Hormuz, says UK military

A container vessel was hit by a projectile near the Strait of Hormuz, causing damage to onboard containers. It is the second such incident in a week, raising fresh concerns about maritime security in the region

The British military said Saturday that a container vessel was attacked near the Strait of Hormuz.

The military's United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations center said an unknown projectile hit the vessel, 25 nautical miles (46 kilometers) northeast of Oman.
Some containers on the vessel were damaged, it said.
