West Asia war: French soldier killed in attack at Iraq’s Erbil region, says President Macron

The soldier has been identified as Chief Warrant Officer Arnaud Frion of the 7th Battalion of Chasseurs Alpins. In a message posted on X, Macron said Frion “died for France” during the attack and expressed condolences to his family and fellow soldiers

A French soldier has been killed and several others injured in an attack in the Erbil region of Iraq, French President Emmanuel Macron said, reported the ANI.

The soldier has been identified as Chief Warrant Officer Arnaud Frion of the 7th Battalion of Chasseurs Alpins.
