Emirates has temporarily suspended all operations to and from Dubai until 3 pm United Arab Emirates (UAE) time on Monday, March 2, amid multiple regional airspace closures triggered by escalating tensions in the Middle East.

The airline issued a customer advisory on Sunday, urging affected passengers to check flight status before heading to the airport and to ensure their contact details are updated via ‘Manage Your Booking’ for timely updates.

For customers booked to travel before or on Thursday, March 5, Emirates outlined the following options:

Rebook on an alternate flight: Passengers can rebook on another flight to their intended destination up to 20 days from the original date of travel. Those who booked through a travel agent should contact them directly; if booked directly with Emirates, reach out to the airline.

Request a refund: Those booked directly can complete the refund form on the Emirates website. Customers who booked via travel agents should contact their agent.

The airline stressed that customers impacted by cancellations must get in touch with their travel agency for rebooking or contact Emirates if booked directly.

“We are actively monitoring the situation and engaging with relevant authorities,” Emirates said in its update.

“We apologise to customers affected by disruptions for any inconvenience caused. The safety and security of our passengers and crew remain our highest priority,” the statement added.

The suspension comes amid widespread airspace restrictions across the region, including in the UAE, following recent developments that have disrupted major aviation hubs like Dubai International Airport.

Emirates advised passengers to stay informed through official channels as the situation evolves.
