The US has initiated a countervailing duty investigation against import of a specialised kind of plastic -- polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) resin -- from India. In the countervailing investigation, the US Department of Commerce will determine whether Indian producers of PTFE resin are receiving unfair government subsidies.
