Venezuela earthquake death toll rises to 3,535, over 16,700 injured

According to officials, rescue teams have saved 6,462 people so far, while 86,794 families have received assistance. An earlier official report stated that 17,345 people had been displaced due to the earthquakes

The death toll from the powerful twin earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24 has increased to 3,535, while 16,740 people have been injured, according to an update shared by National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez.

Rodriguez, who also heads the command centre responsible for setting up temporary camps, said that 17,854 people remain homeless following the disaster. He shared the latest figures in a post on Telegram.
