Houthis strike Saudi Aramco refinery in Jazan, target troops near Red Sea

Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis claimed a drone strike on a Saudi Aramco refinery in Jazan and said they targeted Saudi troops and equipment near Mokha, escalating tensions as Iran's Strait of Hormuz blockade adds to growing regional shipping risks

Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels said on Sunday they had struck an oil facility on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast, after the Gulf kingdom said it had extinguished a fire at the site, news agency AFP reported.

The group's military spokesman Yahya Saree said the Houthis had "succeeded in targeting the Aramco refinery in Jazan with a drone".
