Researchers at Wits University (South Africa) and the University of Bordeaux (France) have developed a laser method to transmit optical data through open air without needing complex computing or expensive adaptive optics.
Earth’s chaotic atmosphere usually scrambles light signals. However, this world-first experiment demonstrates that data can bypass atmospheric turbulence entirely, keeping the light signal’s integrity completely untouched during transmission without any distortion correction systems.
