The 112-year-old Elphinstone Bridge has been fully dismantled, marking the end of a historic structure in Mumbai. While a new double-deck bridge is set to replace it by 2027, authorities have preserved key elements of the old bridge—ensuring its legacy endures even as the city upgrades its infrastructure

As per an official statement, the blocks will be undertaken over three consecutive nights from March 31 to April 3 between 12.30 am and 4.30 am. The block will be implemented on the stretch between Byculla and Dadar stations, impacting both Slow and Fast lines on different days
