Mumbai's seven lakes now hold 13,03,500 million litres of water, or 90.06 per cent of total live storage capacity, surpassing the levels recorded on the same day last year. Modak Sagar, Vihar and Tulsi remain full, while four reservoirs continue to overflow following heavy monsoon rainfall

The current stock is slightly lower than the same period last year, when the reservoirs contained 12,83,810 million litres (88.70 per cent). However, it is significantly higher than 2024, when the lakes had 11,34,737 million litres, accounting for 78.40 per cent of the total live storage
