A 35-year-old domestic help was bitten by a stray dog near Ashraya building in Walkeshwar, close to Raj Bhavan. He was rushed to St Elizabeth Hospital within two hours and administered rabies immunoglobulin, vaccine and tetanus shots. A complaint has been filed with civic authorities

The Supreme Court reserved its verdict on pleas seeking modification of its stray dogs orders, while urging faster action on shelter approvals and reviewing state compliance amid rising dog-bite cases. Concerns over stray dogs in institutional areas and on highways were also addressed
