A 23-year-old man from Taloja was allegedly trafficked to Myanmar after being lured with a lucrative overseas job offer. His family claims they paid nearly Rs 8 lakh, selling his cancer-stricken mother's jewellery to secure his release, but he remains trapped in what is believed to be a cyber-slavery trafficking network.

Police received information that several people from Punjab were arriving in Navi Mumbai, renting rooms in lodges, hotels, and hostels, and supplying heroin and opium to local users and drug peddlers.
