The West Indies, who shot out Australia for just 180 in the first innings, were in a good position on Day 2  of the Test series-opener at the Kensington Oval here on Thursday.

At the time of going to press, West Indies skipper Roston Chase was unbeaten on 44 alongside wicketkeeper Shai Hope, who was 31 not out. The hosts were 135-5 after 46 overs, still trailing Australia by 45 runs.
