India batting legend Virat Kohli’s fans and critics went into overdrive online on Tuesday after self-styled godman Falahari Maharaj claimed that the cricketer had received Rs 5 crore for one of his much-publicised visits to spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj’s ashram in Vrindavan.

Kohli and his actor-wife Anushka Sharma are devotees of Premanand Maharaj and have made several visits to his ashram. However, Falahari claimed that Kohli was paid the hefty sum for his first visit in 2023.
