India opener Smriti Mandhana on Tuesday achieved a new personal milestone in the latest ICC Women’s T20I batting rankings, days after her maiden T20I century against England.

Mandhana, already the world’s top-ranked ODI batter, showcased her formidable form by hammering a superb 112 in Nottingham, dismantling the English attack with ease. This commanding innings has propelled the stylish left-hander up one spot to third on the T20I batting charts, marking her highest career ranking in the shortest format.

Additionally, Mandhana’s rating has surged to a career-best 771 points, narrowing the gap to just 23 points behind Australia’s Beth Mooney, who continues to hold the top position among T20I batters.

Meanwhile, fellow Indian opener Shafali Verma has also climbed the ladder, moving up one place to 13th after contributing a brisk 20 against England. Teammate Harleen Deol, who impressed with a rapid 43 in the same match, has re-entered the T20I batting rankings at joint 86th, further underlining India’s batting depth.

On the bowling front, England’s Lauren Bell has reaped rewards for her fine display in Nottingham, where she picked up three wickets. The tall right-arm seamer has ascended two places to a career-best fourth in the T20I bowling rankings, highlighting her growing stature on the international stage.

Pakistan spinner Sadia Iqbal continues to lead the T20I bowling charts, though competition remains fierce, with only 44 rating points separating the top ten players.

Elsewhere, performances in the concluding T20I clash between the West Indies and South Africa have also influenced the latest rankings. South Africa’s emerging talent Miane Smit has made a remarkable leap from well outside the top 100 to 76th among T20I batters after crafting a composed half-century in the Cave Hill fixture.

Former Proteas captain Sune Luus too has enjoyed a notable rise, jumping nine spots to 31st on the list of T20I all-rounders, courtesy of her solid contributions with both bat and ball during the series decider.
