Having put to chase a target of 168 runs, Australia was bowled out for 119 runs in 18.2 overs.

Josh Inglis departed after scoring 12 runs in 11 balls, which included two boundaries. Tim David and Josh Philippe departed after scoring 14 and 10 runs, respectively.
Marcus Stoinis managed to score 17 runs, but was later dismissed by Sundar. <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/glenn-maxwell-verge-rare-2500-runs-50-wickets-milestone-t20is-23588771" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Glenn Maxwell</a> also endured a poor outing with the willow as he returned to the pavilion on just two runs.

India's Shivam Dube and Axar Patel claimed two wickets each. Bowling two overs, Shivam was smashed for 20 runs, whereas Axar was smashed for 20 runs in four overs. Axar Patel and Varun Chakaravarthy stayed unbeaten on the scores of 21 and one run, respectively. With this, the "Men in Blue" posted a total of 167 runs for the loss of eight wickets.
Australia's Nathan Ellis was the most successful bowler for the hosts. Completing his quota of four overs, Nathan Ellis was smashed for 21 runs. The pacer also claimed three wickets. Adam Zampa also played a crucial role for the Aussies. Bowling four overs, he bagged three wickets by conceding 45 runs. Xavier Bartlett also picked up one wicket and leaked 26 runs in four overs.
