Tamil Nadu's promising talent, B Sai Sudharsan, is one of Team India's players who has found himself in the limelight as the Test series against England inches closer.

Team India will clash against England for a five-match Test series, the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. The first match is scheduled to be played from June 20 at Headingley.

People will keep a tab on Sudharsan as he is likely to feature as the number three batsman for Team India. The 23-year-old has also impressed everyone with his promising knocks during the recently concluded IPL 2025. Ahead of the series, the left-hander will have a huge responsibility of filling the shoes of Cheteshwar Pujara in the format.

Earlier, Pujara, with his strong performances at number three, has raised the bar high for the youngsters stepping up.

Following the Test retirement of Rohit Sharma, Team India's think tank has appointed Shubman Gill as the new skipper in the traditional format of the game.

Later, after Virat Kohli's Test retirement, Gill was up to secure the number three spot for the national side. But rumours suggest that the 25-year-old will likely bat at number four.

Sudharsan, known for his defensive craft, has put his skills on display in the last two days of India's training sessions in Beckenham while facing India's fast-bowling quartet of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, and Arshdeep Singh, according to Espncricinfo.

During the sessions, the young southpaw wasn't fluent throughout, as thick and faint outside edges flew towards the slip and gully region. India head coach Gautam Gambhir stood a couple of yards behind, observing Sudharsan's technique while maintaining his trademark arms-folded-across-the-chest stance.

During their shared conversations, Gambhir appeared to be offering some insights about his technique. Sai Sudharsan was also spotted chatting with skipper Gill, possibly about the forward defensive technique.

India's Test squad for the England series: Shubman Gill (c), Rishabh Pant (vc), Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Karun Nair, Nitish Reddy, Ravindra Jadeja, Dhruv Jurel, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Akash Deep, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav.
